ENID, OK - Graveside service for Lois F. Hooley, 85, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Roy Fountain, from Ardmore, will officiate under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born Dec. 30, 1927, to Clarence and Mabel Downing Best on the family farm, near Holly, Okla., and passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013.

She lived on the farm until she graduated from Gore High School. She then moved to Enid and worked at Marquis Studio until she met and married George Hooley on Dec. 22, 1950. They were married 46 years.

After raising five children, she then worked at Enid Mack Truck for eight years.

She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Lois was an avid OU Sooner fan, enjoyed cross-country trucking, spending time outdoors and going to the casino with her daughter.

She is survived by her son, Chris Hooley and Melinda; daughters, Rhonda Butler and Darin, Vicki Usry and Kevin, Georgia Corbin and Rocky, and Logena Wilkerson and Bill; brother, Larry Best and Carol of Florida; Mimi to her grandchildren, Michele, Jamie, Shannon, Alisha, Carrie, Lisa, Christy and Cory; and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Kasie, Blayke, Colin, Karsten, Kendall, Kelton, Christian, Megan, Hunter, Austin, Trevor, Kyle, Kaylie, Kayla and Colson.

The greatest mother in the world, she will always be cherished by her family and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Gene, Eldon, Tom and Gerald Best.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cross Timbers Hospice with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
