Jim Edminson will officiate. Interment will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 26 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Visitation with the family is 5-6:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Letha Fern Hollingsworth passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at home on the family farm.

Letha was the fourth child born to Herbert and Mable Johnson Brakhage on May 5, 1930, at the family farm, 3 miles west and 3 miles north of Lahoma, Okla.

She attended Lahoma High School, with fond memories of playing basketball in the original gymnasium.

On Dec. 22, 1945, in Wellington, Kan., she married Elwood Hollingsworth and to this union was born Thomas Fredrick Hollingsworth III on Oct. 29, 1947.

Elwood and Letha made their first home in Lahoma, Okla., living there until moving to the landmark “crooked house,” located 3 miles west of Lahoma on Oklahoma 412. In 1976, they constructed their new home on the same site.

During her lifetime, Letha worked as a switchboard operator for the Lahoma community and Montgomery Oil Company of Enid, Okla. Her most important job, however, was raising their son, Tom, and working as a helpmate for her husband, Elwood, on their farm.

Letha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elwood; two sisters, Opal Driskell Ritterbush and Velda Brakhage; two brothers, Jerry Brakhage and Vernon Brakhage; brothers-in-law, Ferrell Driskell, Bill Beckwith, Cleo Decker, Kenneth Hollingsworth, S.J. Lovelady, Gail Pierce, Karl Ritterbush and Jerry Galusha; sisters-in-law, Ann Brakhage, Mertie Brakhage, Lela Beckwith, Leona Decker, Hazel Hollingsworth, Rae Pierce and Elnora Galusha, twin sister of Elwood.

Letha is survived by her son, Thomas and wife Jean Hollingsworth of Arkansas City, Kan.; two grandsons, Thomas “Tim” and wife Michele Hollingsworth of Bartonville, Ill., and Todd and wife Sara Hollingsworth of Wichita, Kan.; great-grandsons, Zachary, Nathaniel and Lukas Hollingsworth and Brooks Willinger; great-granddaughters, Brittney and Amanda Hollingsworth and Ellie Willinger; brothers, Charles and wife Michelle Brakhage of San Antonio, Texas, and Willard Brakhage of Enid, Okla.; and sisters-in-law, Rosalie Brakhage of Kingfisher, Okla., and Lein Brakhage of Coal Valley, Ill. Letha also cherished her relationships with her numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, Enid, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.

Condolences may be left and the service may be viewed at ladusauevans.com.
