Home Going Celebration for Billie Holland, age 86 of Ft. Worth, Texas formerly of Enid, will be 2:00 PM, Monday April 25, 2016 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Billie was born to Rodric, Sr. and Deloris H. (Williams) Carr on July 1, 1929, in Enid, and passed away on Saturday, April 16, in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Billie June Holland loved her family near and abroad. In her early years, she was a much sought after cook. Her hobbies were sewing and knitting. She took up fishing after marrying Jack Holland and loved the clients at NORCE very much. She worked as a cook at Wagon Wheel Café, and at NORCE. Billie also owned and operated Billie’s Playhouse, a daycare in Enid. Billie retired in 2014 from NORCE. She was a member at World Harvest Church in Enid, Oklahoma and volunteered as much as she could with the Church events and she spoke highly of Pastor Mendenhall. Dan Frederick of Enid, Oklahoma was her adopted son who checked on her regularly; a son she loved dearly. Because of a decline in her health she moved to Texas November of 2015 and missed her Enid friends and family. Her family in Texas wanted to spend more time with her enjoying days and moments with her. Her illness had been lengthy and time was shorter than they knew. But they remained faithful to her and all her needs until she passed where she was still surrounded by family and prayers from all. The Lord decided it was time for her to rest from all of her labors in the earth and she was ready for that rest.

Billie is survived by her children Audrey Jones, Dwight Brown, Rodney Brown, Genevieve Swan, Heidi Swan, and Julia Swan; adopted son Dan Frederick; several grandchildren; sisters Connie Hinton, and Joann Boyd; and brothers Gene Carr and Dean Carr.

She is preceded in death by her husband, sisters Barbara Howard, and Shirley Carr, and brothers Rodric, Jr., Deoral Sr., and Gordon.
