The funeral services for Bill Hittle, 84-year-old former Enid resident, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Don Huddleston will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bill was born Dec. 27, 1923, in Helena, Okla., to William Franklin Hittle and Olive Francis (McCreary) Hittle and died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at Westminster Village, Ponca City.

He was reared in Helena and attended Helena schools. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.

On June 18, 1948, he married Anna Dee Hortsman in Enid where the couple made their home. He worked as an accountant for Champlin Oil Co. He was a member of Hartford Avenue Church of Christ. Anna preceded him in death. On March 1, 1984, he married Doris Jean LeCrone in Helena.

He is survived by his sons, Mark Hittle and his wife Kathi of Ponca City, Okla., and John Hittle and his wife Donna of Sadler, Texas; his companion for the last year, Etta Beall; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two spouses, Anna Dee (Horstman) Hittle and Doris Jean (LeCrone) Hittle.
