Wayne Nash Hipsher, 88, of Enid, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007. He was born January 22, 1919, in Cleo Springs, OK to Herman and Mary Hipsher.
He graduated from Cleo Springs High School in 1936 and joined the United States Army in January of 1941. He married Ardis Anne Green on June 29th of that year. He was an aviation cadet at the Waco, TX. Army Flying School and Hicks Field in Fort Worth, TX. He graduated from the Army Air Force Gulf Coast advanced flying training center, Ellington Field, TX. He was then promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in the United States Army Air Force. He served as a flight instructor in Big Spring, TX. until his honorable discharge in 1946.

Wayne, Anne and son, Bill moved to Wichita, KS in 1951. He worked at Boeing as a jig builder and Quality Control Supervisor until his retirement in 1986. After retirement, he and Anne moved to Enid. He was a member of the Christian Church of the Covenant.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Anne; parents, Herman and Mary; brother, Cecil; and sisters, Helen Glover and Maxine Van Arsdale.

He is survived by his son, Bill, of Wichita, KS; brothers, Marvin of Enid and Glen of Bethany.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007, in Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Pat Sutherlin will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Baptist Heart Hospital through the funeral home
