FRANCES ‘LAVERNE’ HILDEBRAND

Funeral service for Laverne Hildebrand, 89, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at New Hope United Methodist Church, with Dr. Sheila Combs-Francis officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Laverne was born to Willam Henry and Lela (Hall) Moran on Dec. 20, 1924, in Delhi, Okla., and passed away on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, in Enid.

Laverne graduated from Delhi High School.

On Aug. 28, 1943, she married Roy Hildebrand in Sayre. They lived in Clinton from 1957 to 1966, and then moved to Enid.

Laverne was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Lawson Lee Sunday School Class for many years.

Laverne is survived by her husband, Roy of the home; children, Dwayne Hildebrand (Wynema) of Norman, Vicki Lefler of Enid, and Roy Gene Hildebrand (Melody) of Enid; six grandchildren, David Hildebrand, Robbyn Hildebrand, Brandi Sullivan, Sean Lefler, Constance Gallagher and Jeremy Hildebrand; and eight great-grandchildren.

Laverne was preceded in death by her son, Scott Hildebrand, her parents, three half-sisters and two brothers.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church.
