A Celebration of Life for Patricia Ann Higgins, age 56, of Enid, is 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Gene Long officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Patricia was born December 22, 1960, in Enid, to George Eckhardt and Bertha (Murray) Eckhardt, and passed away Friday, March 31, 2017, at her home in Enid. She married Larry Michael Higgins on February 9, 1980, and they made their home in Enid. She worked at Oxford Cleaners for 20 years, then she started her own house cleaning business, which she managed for 10 years. In 1990, Larry opened Mike's Carpet Service, which has continued on as Higgins Flooring today.

Patricia enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren at their cabin at Salt Plains Lake. Her boys remember some of the best times with their mother camping and fishing at the river.

She is preceded in death by her father, George Eckhardt, and husband Larry Michael Higgins.

She is survived by her mother Bertha Eckhardt, of Enid; three sons, Larry Higgins and wife Nicole, of Enid; Jay Dee Higgins, of Enid; Michael Higgins and wife Kalie, of Enid; seven grandchildren, Cyler Higgins, Elizabeth Peterman, Kayly Higgins, Shelby Higgins, Dreydon Higgins, Brooklyn Higgins and Annie May Higgins; sister, Teresa Willems of Breckinridge; three brothers, George Eckhardt and wife Allison of Missouri; Gary Eckhardt of Enid; Steve Eckhardt and wife Cindy, of Jet; two sisters-in-law, Maria Hendrix and husband Terry of Texas; Betty Jean Higgins of Hennessey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Whiskey (aka Poo Poo).

Memorials in Patricia's name may be made to Valir Hospice, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
