August 22, 1925 - February 20, 2020

Donna Dean (Gatz) Hewitt was born to L.J. and Lenora (Gentry) Gatz in Orlando, OK, on August 22, 1925, and went to meet Jesus on February 20, 2020. She grew up in Enid and attended Enid schools. On July 8, 1943, she married the love of her life, Alden W. Hewitt. They were blessed with four daughters. Alden was killed in a plane crash in June 1952, leaving Donna a young widow. Donna moved back to Enid to be near her parents.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, a son-in-law, and one great-grandson.

She is survived by her children; Barbara of Newport News, VA, Juanita Knapp of Platte City, MO, Carolyn Riffel (Leon) of Enid and Donna Hewitt and Emil of Mesquite, NV. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and one due in July. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Margaret Hughes.

Donna was laid to rest on Saturday, February 29, in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson.
