ENID, OK - Funeral for Eva Mae Henthorn, 91-year-old Enid resident, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. Roy Wahlgren will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Eva was born Sept. 27, 1922, in Aline, Okla., to Steven and Carrie (Peterson) Dillard and died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at The Commons in Enid.

She moved to Cleo Springs with her family at a young age and attended Cleo Schools.

After graduation, on July 3, 1940, she married Vertis L. "Chick" Henthorn at Cleo Springs Methodist Church. The couple made their first home west of Aline, then Woodward before moving to Enid. She and Chick owned and operated the West Side Feed Store until her retirement. She was a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies.

She loved parrots, birds and turtles. She liked to race turtles and make dog bones. She also enjoyed fishing.

She is survived by her daughter, Lana Weaver and husband Tom of Fairview; sons, Bill Henthorn of Albuquerque, N.M., Denis Henthorn of Enid, and Rick Henthorn of Sanger, Texas; four grandsons, Mike Weaver and wife Ronda, Eric Weaver and wife Karley, K.C. Ray Henthorn of Albuquerque, and Billy Henthorn; granddaughters, Pam Hicks and husband Craig, Christina Unruh and husband Darren, Angie Myers and husband Kevin, and Andrea Long and husband Wayne; four great-granddaughters, Lauren Hicks, Alayna Long, Sydney Meyers and Kayman Coffman; eight great-grandsons, Garrett Weaver, Brandon Weaver, Cameron Weaver, Lane Weaver, Ryan Unruh, Tyce Meyers, Kipton Coffman and Kasyen Coffman; and one great-great-granddaughter, Harper Weaver. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vertis; one son, Verlin Henthorn; and numerous siblings.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Trinity Baptist Church.
