James Monroe Henigman, Sr. was born January 10, 1924 in Alva, OK to Joseph and Francis (Cole) Henigman and passed away May 24, 2018 in Enid at the age of 94.

During World War II, James served his country with the United States Army. He survived the depression, recessions and Republicans. On May 21, 1955, James married Patsy Jane Sims. Together, they fostered several children for a number of years. Patsy passed in 1993. James owned and operated Henigman Machine Shop in Jet, OK until 1957 when they moved to Enid. He continued at George E. Failing until his retirement in 1989. He, all the while, kept running his own machine shop, Henigman and Son's, until his death. During his life, James enjoyed building and racing cars. He spoke his mind and lived everyday on his own terms. He gave when he had little to give and always said, "Do something even if it is wrong."

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; parents; son, Jonathan; two great-grandsons; one brother; one sister; and many other family and friends.

James is survived by five children, James Henigman, Jr. and wife, Carla, Timothy Henigman, Rebecca Patocka and husband, Keith, Mary Beth Sabin and husband, Matt, David Henigman and wife, Janet; ten grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Damian, Mariha, Mollie, Mary, Heather, Jayson, Eric and Daniel; fifteen great-grandchildren, Blake, Karson, Holly, Abbie, Adalyn, Hollis, James, Cooper, Delen, Danielle, Dianna, Ester, Emma, Waytt and Ariell.

Funeral of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Deacon Tony Crispo officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Visitation with family and friends will be 6-8 pm Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorials can be given in James' name to St. Joseph Catholic School. Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home will be acting as custodian of the fund.
