Mrs. Ora May Henderson, 87, 622 N. Grant, died early Monday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.

Her funeral rites will be at 2 PM Thursday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with elders Dick Feeley and Jim Bayless officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Henderson was born in Kansas December 24, 1883, and moved with her parents to Oklahoma at an early age, the family settling near Loyal.

She moved to Bartlesville about 1898, and was married there to Charles E. Henderson on August 10, 1904.

They moved to Enid in 1928. He preceded her in death in 1956. Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include four sons, Alva Henderson, Santa Barbara, California, Glenn of Lansing, Michigan, Charles of independence and Clifford of Enid; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Velma) Graves, Enid; a brother, Bert Staley, Seiling; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Leach of Woodward and Mrs. Lilly Birkhead, Enid; eight grandchildren 14 great – grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
