Funeral services for Robert C. Hemphill, 78, long – time concession operator at the Garfield County Courthouse, will be at 3:30 PM Monday in the Chapel of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home. Rev. R. G. Garland will officiate at the services and burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Hemphill died late Friday evening in a local hospital of an apparent heart attack. He was born May 7, 1893, west of Oklahoma City. In 1946 Hemphill lost his eyesight and since that time had worked at the local courthouse. He had also worked for some eight years as a traveling salesman for Cliff Bond Janitor Company.

He and Nina Luetjer were married at Wheatland November 5, 1914, and she survives.

He was a member of the Washington Avenue Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife of the home at 725 W. Frantz, he is survived by one son, Noel L., Enid; two daughters, Mrs. J. R. (Bobbie) Kaho, Atlanta, Georgia, and Mrs. P. G. (Iva) Weaver, Enid; nine grandchildren, six great – grandchildren, five nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother and one sister.
