She grew up in Blaine County near Okeene. She attended Prairie Dell country school and graduated from Okeene High School in 1937

Averille passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, in Enid at the age of 92 years, 6 months. On March 25, 1939, Averille and Willie "Bill" Heinrich were married at Garfield County Courthouse, Enid. They were married over 67 years at the time of his death, May 14, 2006. They were blessed with six children, including twin sons who died at birth.

After Bill was discharged from the Army in 1946, they moved from the Okeene area to Kingfisher, where they remained for several years before moving to Enid in 1951. Averille was a homemaker but also worked at Phillips University Bookstore, Doolittle Candy Factory and Marquise Studio as a photo retoucher before retiring in 1984.
