ENID, OK - Funeral service for K. James ?Jim? Nicholas, 78, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. today, Oct. 18, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Dr. J. Bruce Byers will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Jim was born April 17, 1935, in Enid to Nicholas H. Nicholas II and Genevieve Hathoot Nicholas, and passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, in Enid. He attended Enid High School and graduated from Kemper Military School in Kansas City, Mo. He also attended Oklahoma A&M University. With his brothers Bud and David, and father Nick, Jim established Nicholas Real Estate in 1955. Jim was passionate about real estate. He was honored to serve as President of the Oklahoma Association of Realtors and the Enid Metro Association of Realtors. He was Oklahoma Realtor of the Year in 1990 and a nine-year director of the National Association of Realtors. Jim also served on the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission. More recently, Jim created and operated Nicholas Farm and Ranch, combining his love of real estate and ranching. Jim was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He served as deacon, elder and trustee of First Presbyterian Church. Jim was an avid Oklahoma State sports fan. He enjoyed attending games with Ila, his wife of 51 years. After family, his love was his ranch. He spent as much time as possible working and hunting at the ranch, where he had great times with his children and grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Ila; sons, Jimmy and wife Molly of Enid, and Jeff and wife Tracy of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren, Cassidy and Jake of Enid, and Victoria, Evan and Allie of Little Rock, Ark.; and two brothers, Bud Nicholas of Enid, and David Nicholas of Green Mountain Falls, Colo. He was preceded by sisters, Vivienne Barrack, Marguerite Rainey and Rosalie Brewer. Memorials can be made in his memory to the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center at the University of Oklahoma or the Freedom Volunteer Fire Department of Woods County, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of funds.

(Submitted by family) PARK HILL - The funeral for Robert ?Bob? Lee Hayes, age 87, of Park Hill, formerly of Enid, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Central Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Kevin Ward officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Bob was born to Okley and Doris (Morrison) Hays on November 2, 1925, in Carter Nine, Oklahoma, and passed away Friday, October 18, 2013, in Oklahoma City after a sudden illness.

Bob graduated from Shamrock High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II at Pearl Harbor. After his discharge, he returned to Enid and married Betty June Shelton. Bob worked for OG&E for 39 years until his retirement in 1987. He played softball with the Oklahoma Cowboys, traveling throughout the United States. Bob umpired for football and basketball in northwest Oklahoma for over 20 years.

After his retirement, they moved to Lake Tenkiller, where he enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and grandkids.

He is survived by four children, Retha Pool of Duncan, Vicki Berry and husband Lance of Edmond, Janet Wright of Edmond, and Bobby Hayes and wife Kelly of Woodward; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Joe (Nancy) Hays of Washington, Nathan Worry Hays of Enid, Okley "Guy" (Sue) Hays Jr. of Enid, Marvin (Ann) Hays of Edmond, Larry (Debbie) Hays of Hennessey, Garry Hays of Enid, Terry (LaDona) Hays of Garber; four sisters, Madeline (Walt) Unruh of Texas, Madonna Campbell of Enid, Velma (Vernon) Hayes of California, and Jonna Miramontes of California; and friend Virginia English of Kremlin.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Betty, brother Thurman Hayes, sister Colleen Evans and son-in-law Mike Pool.

Memorials may be made to OMRF - Heart Division.

LAKE TENKILLER — Memorial service for Betty June Hayes, 82, of Lake Tenkiller, will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Anderson - Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Dirks officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson - Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

She was born to Grover Lee and Katie (Szedeli) Shelton on March 7, 1929, in Oklahoma City and passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Epworth Villa in Oklahoma City.

Betty grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Oklahoma State University.

On Dec. 24, 1949, she married Robert Hayes in Garber. They made their home in Helena and Woodward.

Betty was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary at the state school in Enid. They moved to Lake Tenkiller in 1987, and she was a member of Carter Baptist Church in Park Hill. She is survived by her husband, Robert of Lake Tenkiller; four children, Retha Pool of Covington, Vicki Berry and husband Lance of Edmond, Janet Wright of Edmond, and Bobby Hayes and wife Kelly of Woodward; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lee Shelton and Sonny Shelton.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother and one son-in-law.

Memorials may be made to O.M.R.F., Alzheimer's division.
