ENID, Okla. - Graveside service for David Joe Hayes, 76, of Pond Creek, will be 10 a.m. today, July 26, 2013, in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by the United States Army. Service are under the kind guidance of Stittsworth Funeral Service.

David was born Jan. 31, 1937, in Upland, Calif., the son of James and Ruth Israel Hayes and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, in Enid.

He served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962.

He married Janet Louise Oliver in Las Vegas on Jan. 8, 1965. She passed on Aug. 11, 2012.

They moved to Pond Creek 30 years ago.

David was employed as a truck driver for California Fresh Pack.

Survivors include son, Joe and wife Val Hayes of Pond Creek, Kenny Hayes and fiance Cindy Koch of Enid; daughter, Susan and husband Robin Bench of Enid; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family has selected OMRF as appropriate for memorial donations.
