Funeral services for A.E. "Gabby" Hayes, age 81, of Enid will be 10:00 am Friday, October 21, 2005 at Willow View United Methodist Church. Rev. Lesly Broadbent will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 pm at Ladusau-Evans. Arrangements made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

He was born, April 5, 1924 in Indiana and died October 18, 2005 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He moved to Enid 57 years ago. He married Nettie Burkett on October 12, 1942. He served in the US Army during WWII and Korean Conflict. He was owner of Shamrock Bowl and Cafe. He worked for KCRC as a Radio Announcer and that is where he got the name "Gabby". He was a fuel inspector for the State of Oklahoma. He was an active member of Willow View Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nettie of the home, 2 grandsons: Eric and wife Shawn Weida of Enid, Erin and wife Jennifer Weida of Tulsa; 2 greatgrandsons: Wylee Jack and Mitchell James.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Weida in June 2000.

Memorials may be made to Willow View United Methodist Church with Laduasu-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be sent to ladusauevans.com.
