Funeral service for Constance June “Connie” Hawkins, 86, Enid, will be 10 a.m. Friday morning, Aug. 28, 2015, at Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Jerry Holt officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Visitation with the family is 7 p.m. this evening, Aug. 27, at Stittsworth’s.
Connie was born May 22, 1929, in Bartlesville, Okla., the daughter of Edwin Samuel and Ida Louise McComas Bishop and passed away peacefully on Aug. 24, 2015, in Enid.
She was raised in Bartlesville and later in Guymon, where she graduated from Guymon High School with the class of 1947.
Connie married Wilbur Siler “Bill” Drake of Logan, N.M. To this union was born one son, Carroll Maynard and a stillborn daughter, Ethel Lee Drake. Bill Drake passed on Nov. 16, 1950.
On Jan. 19, 1952, Connie married Jesse Carl Hawkins of Guymon, Okla., to this union were born three sons, Jesse Carl Jr., Wayne Conrad and Terry Craig Hawkins, and one daughter, Cheri Lou Thompson. Connie’s husband, Jesse Carl Hawkins Sr. passed away in July 1999. Two sons, Wayne Conrad and Terry Craig Hawkins and her brother and sister, Robert Bishop and Mary Lou Wuent, also preceded her in death.
Connie was a member of Liberty Southern Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include sons, Carroll and wife Linda Drake, Jesse Carl Hawkins Jr. and wife Jennifer, and daughter, Cheri Thompson and husband, the late Robert Thompson. Her grandchildren include Matthew and Jeremy Drake, Luke Andrew and Sarah Thompson, Jessica Flores, Cynthia Davis, John Wayne and Jared Hawkins. Her great-grandchildren include Violet Sophia, Ezra William, Roxanne Marie, Michael Jeremy, and Kane Lukus Drake, Allison Lakelynn and Gehrig Thompson, Liam, Caitlin and Cruz Flores, and Regan and Bailey Davis.

Jesse Carl Hawkins was born October 8, 1912, in Medford, Oklahoma, the fifth of nine children of Bessie Ades (Albright) and Jesse Hiram Hawkins and passed away Wednesday, July 14, 1999 at University Nursing Center.
Carl worked at Douglas Aircraft, Midwest City, during World War II. He was a carpenter contractor.
Mr. Hawkins was a member of Victory Bible Church. He married Mrs. Connie J. Drake on January 19, 1952.
Carl is survived by his wife, Connie of the home; four sons, Caroll M. Drake and wife Linda of Waldorf, Maryland, Carl Jr. and wife Jennifer of Texas, Wayne Hawkins and wife, Arlene of Enid, Terry Hawkins of the home; one daughter, Cheri and husband Robert Thompson of Enid; eight grandchildren, Matthew and Jeremy Drake of Waldorf, Maryland, Luke, Sarah and Jessie Thompson also John, Jared and Cynthia Hawkins all of Enid; two brothers, Glen Hawkins of Wichita, Kansas, Floyd Hawkins of Loyal; three sisters, Lucille Corbett of Wichita, Kansas, Nova Geis of Kingfisher, Crystola Cowan of Ponca City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Services will be held Friday at 2 PM in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Lyle Buller and Thurman Sparks of Victory Bible Church officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Victory Bible Church with Henninger – Allen Funeral Home acting as custodian for the fund.
