Mary Juanita Hatfield

The funeral for Mary “Juanita” Hatfield, 88, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Rev. David Wiggs will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Juanita was born April 15, 1918 in Oxford, KS to Abraham Lincoln and Addie Gertrude (Ricks) McClaflin and died Saturday, April 14, 2007 in Enid, OK.

On July 12, 1941 Juanita married Marvin Hatfield in Enid. He died Feb. 13, 2004.

She was a teacher for 44 years and taught at Driftwood, Carrier, Pioneer and also Autry Tech Center. She retired in 1984. She was a 50-year member of FUMC and 60-year member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She also was active in the OK Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by sons, Robert Hatfield and wife Ida of Thousand Oaks, CA, Phil Hatfield and wife Mickie of Chandler, OK; daughter, Mary Ann Bloom and husband Peter of Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Robert McClaflin; sisters, Leta Lawson, Eileen Page and LaVonna Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Richard McClaflin and three sisters, Mildred Winn, Wanda Wise and Louise Rohl.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
