Louis Rork Hatfield, 48, 1406 E. Oklahoma, died Saturday in an Oklahoma City hospital following open-heart surgery.

His funeral services will be at 2 PM Wednesday in the Bethany United Methodist Church with the Reverend Justus Edmondson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

The family has designated the Cardiac Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital as a suitable memorial to Hatfield. Memorial contributions may be made direct.

Hatfield was born April 30, 1924, near Carrier and served with the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War I I. He was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church.

Hatfield and Dorothy Kennedy were married November 18, 1945, in Enid and she survives. Other survivors are three daughters, Norma Lou Daggs, north of Enid, Viola May LaQuay, Del city and Cynthia Ann Hatfield, Oklahoma City; his father, Earl Hatfield of Enid; five brothers and two sisters, Luella Botts, Darleen Holt, Leo Hatfield, Irvin Hatfield and Robert Hatfield, all of Enid, Carl Hatfield of Oceanside, California, and Ray Hatfield of Tulsa, and three grandsons, Allen, Darrin, and Chris.

He was employed at Sears in Enid.

His mother and an infant brother preceded him in death.
