Bill A. Hardin, age 80, of Pond Creek died Monday morning, June 20, 2005, in St. Mary's Regional Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born October 3, 1924 at Muskogee, OK to William A. Hardin, Sr. and Ruth Brewster. He attended the Muskogee school system and graduated from Muskogee High School. He moved to Enid in 1963 where he owned and operated various nursing homes. He was active in the Nursing Home Association and the Enid Drum -- Bugle Corp. He later moved to Pond Creek in 1980 where he lived until his death. He married Helga Crow in June 27, 1980. He was a veteran of WWII in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife, Helga; two daughters, Sharon Mitchell of Blackwell, OK and Patty Lorenz and husband Monty of Enid, OK; two sons Robert Crow and wife Lisa of Enid, OK and Ron Crow and wife Tricia of Coffeyville, KS; eight grandchildren, Coby and Nathan Crow, Bridgette Nehring, Tyson Lorenz, Lindsay Crow, Bret Smith, Lisa McGoldrick, and Dianne Smith; three step-grandchildren, Kirsten Coquillette, Jillian and Frankee Schille; two great-grandchildren, Allison Belachitski and Amy Smith.

Preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sheila Storey; three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Pastor Gerald Roggow will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to donor's choice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.
