HILLSDALE — A funeral service for Carol Hamm, 71, of Hillsdale, will be 9 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011, in Anderson - Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gail Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Carol was born November 4, 1939, in Enid to Aubrey Joseph and Helen Mary (Smith) Conner and died Wednesday, October 12, 2011, in Enid.

She graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1957 and married JC Bowen June 16, 1957. They had four children.

Carol went to Enid Business School and Enid Beauty College and operated Hillsdale Beauty Barn for 15 years. She later worked as an insurance adjuster for Oklahoma Farmers Union in Enid. She was a homemaker, housewife and a grandmother. She was a member of General Assembly Church of First Born.

Carol married Jim Hamm and he preceded her in death. She later married Marvin Hamm; he also preceded her in death. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by grandson Trever Bowen McBride, her parents and infant brother Paddy.

She is survived by her children, Donna Doyle of Enid and Joseph Bowen, Linda Beth Bowen and Jason Bowen, all of Hillsdale; several stepchildren; a brother, James Conner of Texas; two sisters, Martha Charlotte James of Enid and Mary Linda Mossman of Loveland, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made through the funer al home to Oklahoma Brain Injury Association. Condolences may be made online at www.andersonburris.com.
