The funeral service for Katherine "Sue" Henthorn, 78-year-old former Enid resident, will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. www.enidwecare.com

The funeral service for Katherine "Sue" Henthorn will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2021, in Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends is 1:00-3:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2021, at the funeral home.

Sue was born June 4, 1943, to Aud Monroe and Lena (Hancock) Raney in Okmulgee and passed away May 18, 2022, in Mesquite, Texas.

After attending Okmulgee schools, she met Verlin Dwayne Henthorn. On June 11, 1962, they were married. Together, they owned and operated Enid Diesel for over twenty-five years. They enjoyed and were proud members of Twisters Car Club.

Sue enjoyed a variety of things such as giggling and visiting with friends. Her hobbies included shopping (especially at Oakwood Mall where she loved to people watch), Crazy Days in Enid, sidewalk sales and always a pretty purse or great pair of high heels. She also enjoyed traveling, dancing, going to casinos and anything Elvis. She was very outgoing and loved to laugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Cora Jean Myers.

Sue is survived by daughters, Christina Unruh and husband, Darren, of Forney, TX, Pam Hicks and husband, William, of Lewisville, TX; grandchildren, Lauren Hicks and Ryan Unruh; and siblings, Jim Raney and wife, Eunice, and Bud Raney.

Memorials can be given through the funeral home to Alzheimer's Association.
