Memorial Park Cemetery


The graveside service for Jewell S. (Noel) Hill Hastings, 97, will be 11 a.m. today, Dec. 4, 2009, at Garden Chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Cameron Moles will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born Oct. 29, 1912, in Hitchcock to Jacob Vincent and Rosina Delcina Jones Noel and died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, in Tulsa. She was a graduate of Watonga High School. She moved to Enid in 1930.

She married James Hays Hill July 8, 1936, in Enid. He died in 1962. She then married Dr. N.L. Hastings.

She worked at Woolworth Co., Enid News and Stationery and Vaters Bookstore. She also worked for her husband, James, at Hill's Transfer and Storage and was a nurse for her husband, N.L. She was a member of Eastern Star 36 and attended Calvary Baptist Church until 1992, serving as Sunday school teacher. She moved to Tulsa in 1992, where she was a member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Sondra Beeby of Tulsa; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to both husbands, James and N.L., she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the ministry fund at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Condolences may be made at ladusauevans@suddenlink mail.com.
