Memorial Park Cemetery


October 16, 1947 - April 30, 2022

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Gary George Hartling, 74, of Enid will be held, 2:00 P.M. Today, Wednesday May 4, 2022, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Gary George Hartling, 74, of Enid will be held, 2:00 P.M. Gary was born October 16, 1947, to Harold and Marjorie (Livingston) Hartling in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life April 30, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1965. He attended Phillips University, Oklahoma State University and Houston University. He enlisted in the United States National Guard 45th Infantry division, Enid, Oklahoma. He married Kay Dragoun in 1969, from this union came one daughter Kary. On June 6, 1981, he married Paula Brady in Enid, Oklahoma and gained a daughter, Andrea. He was a lifelong resident of Enid Oklahoma and worked at the Norther Oklahoma Resource Center until his retirement in 2010. He was a member or Emmanuel Baptist Church where he was active in the Choir and a was a member of the Enid Coin Club. He enjoyed playing cards.

He is survived by his daughter Kary Ott (Bryan) of Edmond; two granddaughters, Ivy and Eva Ott; one stepdaughter Andrea Curry, of Enid; one brother, Jack Hartling, of Enid; and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife Paula Hartling; his parents, Harold and Marjorie Harting; and two brothers, Mike and Dick Hartling.
