Memorial Park Cemetery




ENID, Okla. - Funeral service for Rosa Harp, 82, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Rosa was born May 5, 1931, in Orienta, Okla., to Abraham and Eva Eck Penner and died Saturday, July 20, 2013, in Norman.

She grew up in Fairview and graduated from Fairview High School.

On Jan. 31, 1950, Rosa married Jack Harp in Fairview. They made their home in Enid, where she was a homemaker and cooked for the harvest crew for many years. Rosa later worked as a caregiver in the home health care field. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents and sisters, Frances, Ruby, Ida, Melinda and Katherine.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Craig and Peggy Harp of Enid, Jana and Jason LaHood of Norman, and Tana and Chad Large of Sapulpa; five grandchildren, James, Hulvey, CheyAnne Strickler, Navy Strickler, Jack Large and Camille Large; three brothers, Rueben and wife Jeanine Penner of Jefferson City, Texas, Ernest Penner of Moore, and Irvin and wife Judy Penner of Mustang, Okla.; five sisters, Margaretha and husband Larry of Corpus Christi, Texas, Sue Penner of El Reno, Penny and husband Henry Brown of Shawnee, Esther Thomas of Oklahoma City and Elizabeth and husband Tom Goodrick of Redman, Wash.
