Velva Jean Hafner

Graveside service for Velva Jean Hafner will be Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm in Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Mark McAdow officiating. Arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Velva Jean was born November 9, 1933 to Alton and Irene Neundorf and died September 30, 2022.

She was raised in the Garber community and graduated from Garber High School, where she was involved in several activities. On August 12, 1951, Velva Jean was united in marriage to Roger D. Hafner in Garber. In 1952, Roger entered the U.S. Army and they moved to Ft. Smith, Arkansas, then to Lawton, Oklahoma and then back to Garber. Velva Jean was a member of Willow View United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school classes. She judged 4-H dress reviews and speech contest. She was President of the Garfield County 4-H and local 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger and her parents.

Velva Jean is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Renee and Larry Mourer, Robin and Tim Henricks, Randus and Chris Harman; 8 grandchildren, Mark & Kelly Mourer, Bay Mourer, Gant and Melissa Mourer, Jenna and Dee Jay Johns, Chauncey Henricks, Nickie and Sy Tucker, Jordan and Zach Long, Ty and Jordan Harman, Mikka and Austin Barnes; 12 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Willow View United Methodist Church.
