OBITUARY
The funeral for Alvin Andrew Grogan, 56, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Grace World Outreach. The Rev. John Crawford will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home with military rites conducted by the U.S. Army
He was born July 31, 1951, in Ponca City to Clyde V. and Anita L. Womack Grogan and died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at his home.
He was raised in Ponca City. He served in the Army where he fought during the Vietnam War and was discharged on a medical and awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
He married Marsha Bible Jan. 8, 1972, in Ponca City. He drove truck for Hamm and Phillips and received his welding degree in 1974. He worked as an oilfield pumper until 1989. He was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Marsha, of the home; one son, Lance Scannell of Enid; one daughter, Calli Hinman of Lamont; one sister, Diana Grogan; one brother, Louis Grogan of Enid; seven grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
