George A. Semrad

KREMLIN — A graveside service for George A. Semrad, 92, will be 1 p.m. Friday in garden chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Don Tines will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1910, in Indian Springs, Fla., to Joseph and Elsie Pommitt Semrad and died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at The Methodist Nursing Home of Enid.
At age 4, he moved with family to Oklahoma and attended Pioneer school district south of Enid. On July 22, 1933, he married Helen Estes in Enid. They farmed near Pond Creek and Kremlin. He was a member of Kremlin United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Ginger Holtzen of Rose Hill, Kan.; four sisters, Elsie Vette of Enid, Ruby Wright of Clinton, Ark., Ruth Crozier of Minco and Helen Marie Provine of George-town, Texas; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, three infant children and five brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Kremlin United Methodist Church.
