September 16, 1919 - December 20, 1985

Services for Billie Maxine Glidden, 68, 514 S. Johnson, will be at 2 PM Sunday at Calvary Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Billy Pointer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau – Evans Funeral home.

Mrs. Glidden died Friday, December 20, 1985 in a local hospital.

Born September 16, 1919, in Shawnee to John and Jennie Fuller, she came to Enid as a child and attended Enid schools.

She married Preston Glidden and spent most of her adult life in California and Texas before returning to Enid in 1970.

Mrs. Glidden owned and operated the Wrong Way Escort Service. She was involved with the American Heart and Lung Association and the American Cancer Society, and was a member of the California Women's Golf Association, the Los Angeles chapter of the F. O. E., The Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, the Navy Wives Clubs of America and the Marina Women's Golf Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968 and a sister.

Survivors include an aunt, Bessie Lawver of Enid; an uncle, George Huff of Sparks, and a half – brother, Harold Thorton of Houston.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Jesus House, with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.
