Funeral Services for Melquiades Resendiz Fuentes will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Juan Herrera officiating with services under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Melquiades Reséndiz Fuentes was born April 15,1958, to Epifania Reséndiz and Isidro Fuentes in El Epazote, Hidalgo, Mexico, and passed away at age 63 on September 22, 2021, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He married Pamela Morlan in 1984-1995 and had three children, Tina, Kristal and Isidro Fuentes. He began working at Enid Iron and Metal in 1983 to 1993 and Rite Way Construction in 1993 to September 22, 2021.

Mel was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mel loved cooking for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Eleuterio; sisters Reyna and Valentina; granddaughter Madison Buffalo. He is survived by his brothers Felix, Tiburcio and Francisco; sisters Petra and Cecilia, daughters Tina, Kristal and son Isidro Fuentes; grandchildren Alexia, trinity, Layly, Tevion, Julius, Hezekiah, Ella and Everleigh; one great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
