September 30, 1927 - February 10, 2020

Funeral services for Ruby L. Frey, age 92, of Lahoma, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma, with Rev. Timothy Dorsch officiating. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Ruby was born September 30, 1927, in Watonga to Herbert and Ester Wilhite Edsall and passed away Monday, February 10, 2020, in The Commons.

She attended Centralia Country School, Hitchcock High School and Southwestern Oklahoma State University, receiving her teaching degree in 1949. She began her teaching career in Lahoma in the fall of 1949, teaching mathematics and home economics. She taught there until the end of the 1957 school year. She then taught at Oklahoma Bible Academy in Meno from the fall of 1960 through the spring of 1970. Ruby returned to the Lahoma school system in the fall of 1970, teaching there until she retired in 1987.

She married Cecil W. Frey July 22, 1951 on her parent's family farm near Hitchcock and he passed away July 12, 1976.

Ruby was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma.

Ruby is survived by her son, Larry Frey and his wife Vicki of Lahoma; grandson, Erick Frey of Lahoma; granddaughter, Ashlynn Jones and husband Kody of Luther, OK; great-granddaughters, Kanyn and Kynnadi Jones; sister, Lavon Eck and husband Eldon of Enid; brother, Richard Edsall and wife JoAnn of Watonga; and several other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Hazel Ariola and Lillian Koppen; and a brother, Robert Edsall.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
