The memorial service for Dora Lucille Freeman will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, in the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Andrew Long will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dora Lucille Freeman died peacefully, in Houston, Texas, on Nov. 17, 2014, at the age of 90.

Born March 22, 1924, in Enid, Okla., to Owen and Lillian Merideth, she married Billy Banyon Freeman July 14, 1946, and had one son, Steven Merideth Freeman.

She was a 1942 graduate of Enid High School and a graduate of Enid Business College.

Upon graduation, she worked for the George E. Failing Company and later in the office of Dr. Bruce Hinson.

Dora Lu was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Enid and a member of PEO Chapter DB.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her brother, Tom Merideth.

She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Rebecca of Houston, a granddaughter, Merideth Hood and husband, Brian of San Antonio, and grandson, Thomas Freeman of Houston.

She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Lillianne, Genevieve and T. Banyon Hood, in addition to her niece, Suzanne Nelson and husband, Doug of Austin, and her sister-in-law, Deanne Freeman of Woodward.

Dora Lu was a wonderful role model and will be remembered for her kind and loving disposition and dedication to church, family and friends.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to the First Presbyterian Church.
