MOORE — Funeral for Gary Lynn Free II, 38, of Moore, will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Central Assembly of God Church, 1201 W. Oxford, Enid, with Pastor Kevin Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson - Burris Funeral Home . Visitation for family and friends will be 5:30-7 p.m. today at the funeral home .

Gary was born to Gary Lynn Sr. and Mary Ann (Downing) Free on Aug. 24, 1973, at Cannon Air Force Base near Clovis, N.M. He died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, in Oklahoma City.

Gary graduated from high school in Alamogordo, N.M.

He then joined the U.S. Air Force, serving in Panama, where he met and married Deyanira de Carmen Rodriquez. A son, Joshua, was born Aug. 23, 1993, in Panama.

After his discharge, he returned to Enid. Gary participated in the Teen Challenge Program at Sonrise Ranch near Lawton and later was on staff there.

On Dec. 27, 2003, he married Jennifer Ann Jahay in Alva.

Gary was a Pentecostal minister and served as a youth minister in Enid and later in Moore, after moving there in 2006.

He worked in education and attended Rose State College. Gary was a musician and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.

Gary is survived by wife, Jennifer of Moore; parents, Gary Sr. and Mary Ann Free of Enid; son, Joshua Michael Free of Moore; brother, Jerad Free and his daughters Tara and Jaylee, all of Enid.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Victoria P. Aragon and paternal grandparents, H.J. and Myrtle Free. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made through the funeral home to Josh Free Educational Fund.
