September 7, 1945 - November 23, 2020

The Funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Robert Fleig, 75, of Enid, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Army. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Robert "Bobby" Fleig was born Sept. 7, 1945, to Clarence Joseph and Betty Joe Turn Fleig in Kansas City, Mo., and passed from this life Nov. 23, 2020, in Grove, Okla.

He was raised and educated in Westville, Okla. He married Lillian "Louise" Forbes July 10, 1965, in Enid, Okla.; from that union came three daughters. He joined the United States Army in February 1966. After his honorable discharge from the United States Army he moved to Enid and began working for the City of Enid in Traffic Control. He then worked on the railroad for 18 years. He then worked in the custodial department at Vance Air Force base for 20 years until his retirement in 2010. He married his wife of 23 years Elsie Martin in Enid in September 1997. He enjoyed watching OU football, being outside, hunting and fishing, watching stock car racing and absolutely loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Elsie Fleig, of the home; daughters Savonna Bruning, of Enid, and Angie Roche, of Edmond; stepdaughter, Teresa Hooper; grandchildren, Haley and Cheyenne Roche, Christopher and Alan Fleig; step granddaughter Krista Bueno and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Debora Fleig; one step daughter, Kelly Martin; one brother, James Fleig; and three sisters, Savonna Sheets, Rita May Sheets and Twila Sheets.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorials be given in his honor to the Warriors for Freedom Foundation with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
