A Celebration of Life Service for O’Dell Fair age 66 of Enid will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Mr. Gordon Jantz officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

O’Dell was born July 19, 1949 in Enid, OK to D.C. and Agnes Reeves Fair and passed away Monday, February 08, 2016 in Northwest Specialty Hospital after a period of ill health. He grew up in Enid where he attended school. He joined the Army Reserves in 1968 as part of the 44th Evac in Ft. Ord, California. While in the Army Reserves he received his GED. O’Dell moved back to Enid in 1970 where he went to work for the Frisco Railroad as a Brakeman and later as a conductor for the BNSF Railroad and taking a medical retirement in 1984.

O’Dell married Dena Bond on November 2, 1974 in Enid. He loved drag racing and working on cars. He set a world drag racing record in Tucson, AZ in 1977.

O’Dell is survived by his wife Dena of the home, son Jon Fair of Broken Arrow, OK, a chosen daughter Jamie and husband Roger Layne and grandchildren Trey and Reagan, a sister Loretta Orindgreff of Wichita, KS, a brother Dale Wayne Fair of Waukomis, OK, brother-in-law Glenn Osburn of Vinita, OK and sister-in-law Carol Fair of Gilbert, AZ and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
