Elizabeth "Liz" Anne (Bennett) FIELDS

Memorial Park Cemetery


Funeral service for Elizabeth "Liz" Anne Fields (Bennett), 64, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Robyn Goggs will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings. Family visitation is 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Liz was born March 25, 1949, in Enid to Roy Eldon and Margaret Bevan Bennett and passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, in Enid.

She grew up in Hennessey and graduated from Hennessey High School in 1967. She graduated from Enid Beauty College and was a hairdresser for several years. She married Eugene "Bear" Fields June 27, 1970. She earned her broker's license and worked in real estate. She and her husband, Bear, owned and operated Bear's Automotive from 1973-1998. She worked at Garfield County Sherriff's Department as a dispatcher and in other capacities in 1988 and 1990, and continuously from 1995 to 2005, until she began at Enid Police Department, where she worked until her death. Outside of work she enjoyed time with family, friends, classic cars, sewing and racing. She was a member of Hennessey First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Fields of Tulsa; son, Kevin Fields of Okmulgee; her aunt, Marjorie Bennett Scott of Hennessey; and many cousins.
