Coleda Jean Failing
December 27, 1938 - November 3, 2023

The funeral service for Coleda Jean Failing, 84 year-old former Enid resident is 1:00PM Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Rev. Dan Barrick officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Coleda was born December 27, 1938 in Enid, Oklahoma to John and Pearl(Lorenz) McMurphy and died Friday, November 3, 2023 in Tulsa. She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High with the class of 1957. She then attended Central State University. She later attended Enid Beauty College and worked as a beautician for many years.

On August 20, 1960 she married George Failing in the Davis Park Christian Church and the couple made their home in Enid.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Elizabeth Failing of Tulsa and Cari and husband Mike Cooper and her grandson son Chris Cooper and his fiancee Bailley Smith and her great-daughter, Sophie Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband George E. Failing II.
