OBITUARY

A graveside service for Orville J. Drassen, 86, of Enid, will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. The Rev. Don Johnson will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

He was born Feb. 24, 1920, on a farm southeast of Billings to Lommert and Mary Simmering Drassen and died Tuesday, June 20, 2006. He graduated from Billings High School in 1938. Following high school he attended Hills Business College in Oklahoma City. He was a decorated veteran, serving as an enlisted soldier in Europe during World War II. On his return, he worked as a printer for 16 years for Long Bell Lumber in Enid. He also served in Korea in 1950. He worked for several printing companies in Enid, retiring in April 1985.

He married Ona Lee Arnett April 6, 1947, in Enid. Surviving are his wife, Ona Lee, of the home. He was preceded in death by one sister.
