The funeral for Geraldine “Gerry” Bingham Doty, 80, of Enid will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Lee Ecker will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 9 p.m. today.

She was born Aug. 10, 1925, at Enid to Roy O. and Ada M. Crawford Wilson and died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at Independence, Mo.

She graduated from Enid High School in 1944. She married Raymond G. Bingham April 20, 1945. They made their home in Enid. He died in 1989.

She worked as a toll operator for Southwestern Bell for 10 years. She later worked for 17 years in admissions at St. Mary’s Hospital, retiring in 1981.

She married Harry L. Doty in Independence. He died in 1996. She moved to Independence in 2000.

She was an elder in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Community of Christ). She was instrumental in organizing Girl Scouts in Enid, past president of the board of auxiliary volunteers at St. Mary’s and past president of the board at Enid Senior Center.

Surviving are two sons, Ray Bingham of Del City and Wayne Bingham of Independence; one sister, JoAnn Reed of Ionia, Mich.; one brother, Roy O. Wilson Jr. of Enid; and five grandchildren.

Besides her two husbands, Raymond, and Harry, she was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to American Heart Association.
