Service for Mary Ellen Day, 53, Enid, will be held Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Jillian Glasscock officiating. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Mary Ellen Day was born on Nov. 30, 1961 and came to live with John and Florelee Day as their daughter in March of 1962.

Mary attended Enid Schools and, in 1982, married Daryl Curtis. Together they had two children, Jillian and Jonathan.

Later she married David Hornaday and they had Tyler.

Mary served many years as a caring nurse aide until her health could not allow her to continue. Mary was an amazing woman. She was strong willed, stubborn and full of energy.

Her big, childlike heart could bring a smile and giggle to any person she interacted with. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in passing by her father, John. Survivors include her children, Jonathan Curtis, Tyler Hornaday, Jillian and husband Kelsey Glasscock; five children, Trayven, Austin, Severin, Kane-Ashton and Sophia; Her mother, Florelee Day; brother, Robert and his wife Mariam Day.

The family has selected, instead of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Jillian Glasscock to help with medical expenses.

Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
