Funeral services for Carroll F. Cox age 74 of Enid will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Chuck Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Carroll was born on December 21, 1930 in Oklahoma City, OK to Robert and Ouita Louise Forrester Cox and passed away Friday, May 27, 2005 in St. Mary’s Regional Hospital after a sudden illness.
He attended and graduated from Enid Public Schools in 1950. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950 serving in the 45th Infantry Division Artillery during the Korean Conflict. He received the Army Occupation Medal (Japan), Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal, and was honorably discharged in 1952.
He married Elisabeth Appel on June 9, 1970 in Enid. He owned and operated his own jewelry business for several years.
His wife Elisabeth of the home, one daughter Shari and her husband Otis Munkres of Ames, two sons Brian Cox of Shreveport, LA and Steve Cox of New York, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, his favorite uncle Leon Cox of Oklahoma City, and many beloved cousins survive him.
