Thena Gayle Blowers, 55, passed away Tuesday, Jan, 15, 2013, after fighting breast cancer for six years. In her last few years, she cherished the opportunity to watch her youngest son finish high school, and enjoyed spending time with her sons and granddaughters. Born to Donald and Beverly Merett on May 27, 1957, Thena grew up in California and returned to Oklahoma in 1997, to be nearer to her family.

She is survived by her grandmother, Bea Davis; her mother, Beverly; three sons Kyle, Jeremy and Louis; and three granddaughters, Brionna, Astrid and Beatrix. Graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the Memorial Park Cemetery Maulsoeum. Rev. Jim Edmison will officiate.
