Enid – Services for Olin A. Ashcraft, 73, were at 2 PM Thursday, March 12, in St. Luke's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rik Marion officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, directed by Henninger–Allen Funeral Home.

Ashcraft died March 10 at a local hospital, apparently of a heart attack. He was born on a farm near Carmen March 25, 1913 to James and Ollie Wilcox Ashcraft. He graduated from Carmen High School and married Esther P. Young at Cherokee on May 19, 1934

They established a home on a farm near Cherokee, then moved to Enid in 1955 where he was employed at Vance Air Force Base as a fireman until his retirement in 1983.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a sister. Survivors include his wife, Esther, of the home; a daughter, Joyce D'Amico, Norman; a son, Charles O. Ashcraft, Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Ashcraft, Enid, and three sisters, Alga Musser, Washington, D.C., Lucille Vandruff and Lyleen Fuson, Cherokee
