ENID, Okla. - TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - Funeral service for Ernest R. Ashcraft will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Northside Baptist Church, with Brother Charles Keim officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, Okla., at 4 p.m., under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Please sign our online guestbook at www.hartfuner alhome.net.

Ernest Roy Ashcraft was born March 20, 1927, in Carmen, Okla., to Ernest Roy and Bothilda Myrle (Broom) Ashcraft and departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 4, 2013, in Tahlequah, Okla., at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 14 days.

Ernest served the Lord as a Southern Baptist preacher for over 58 years. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Tahlequah after his retirement.

Ernest loved the Lord and loved his family. He enjoyed gardening and building things. He especially enjoyed sharing the love of Christ to the world. Ernest touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glenda Joan Ashcraft; a sister, Ann Koehen; and brother, Leonard Ashcraft.

He is survived by a loving family, which includes his children, Michael Ashcraft and wife LeAnne of Booneville, Ark., and Glenda Keim and husband Charles of Tahlequah; brother, Leo Ashcraft and wife June of Texas; sister, Evelyn Thompson of Enid; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones also survive him.
