The funeral for Marella Arnold, 86, will be 2 PM Saturday in Henninger – Allen Chapel with Leslie Busbee officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born October 27, 1911, at Beaver to Nova Lee and Ethel Husted Chrisman and died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, in the Highland Park Manor.

She attended Enid schools and on May 16, 1932, she married Sylvester Arnold in Enid, when they made their home. During World War I I she worked as a welder in the Kaiser Shipyards in Richmond, California. They returned to Enid in 1944. She was a member of the Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Sylvester, of the home; two daughters, Shirley Burk of Oklahoma City, Norma Johnson of Marlow; two sons, Sam Arnold of Reeds Spring, Missouri, Lester Arnold of Enid; one sister, Zula Pellow of Enid; four brothers, Sam and Dee Chrisman, both of Enid, L. D. Chrisman of Nowata, Bill Chrisman of Lawrence, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; 12 great – grandchildren; and one great – great – grandchild.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Alzheimer's Division with Henninger – Allen Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund.
