OBITUARY

Funeral services for Leland V. Arnold, Jr., 77, of Enid will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Willow Road Christian Church with Rev Carrell E. Still and Dr. Richard Duckworth officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Leland was born February 13, 1930, in Douglas, Ariz., to Leland V. and Helen M Ellsworth Arnold and passed away Friday, April 6, 2007 in the Integris Bass Baptist Pavilion.

He attended and graduated from Enid Public Schools. Leland married Doris Jean Morris on November 30, 1952 in Enid, OK. He served in the National Guard with the 45th Artillery Army and Air Force during the Korean Conflict retiring after 25 years. He worked as a shop foreman for George E. Failing retiring after 30 years.

He was a member of Willow Road Christian Church.

Leland is survived by his wife, Jean, of the home; two sons, Michael and his wife Candy Arnold of Owasso, OK and Ken and his wife Brenda Arnold of Enid; one daughter, Tammy and her husband Steven Tinsley of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Barbara Phillips and her husband Forrest of Enid.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the Willow Road Christian Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.

September 22, 1934 - October 17, 2020

Jean Arnold, 86, of Enid, Okla., born Sept. 22, 1934, in Aline, Okla., to John and Amy (Brown) Morris, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at St Mary's Hospital in Enid of COVID-19.

Jean was married to Leland V. Arnold on Nov. 30, 1952. Jean retired from Central National Bank after 15 years of service. Jean and her husband enjoyed travel in their motor home. Favorite destinations included Texas and Colorado. During the off-season Jean and Leland enjoyed making crafts together, which they sold at area craft shows. Leland was the carpenter and Jean typically painted the figures he would fashion.

Jean is survived by her three children, Michael Arnold and his wife Candy of Owasso, Okla., Ken Arnold and his wife Brenda of Enid, Okla., Tammy Tinsley and her husband Steven of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Leland, her parents and seven siblings.

Due to COVID-19, a private graveside service was held on Oct. 20, 2020.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
