The funeral for Cecil H. Arnold, 48, who died Tuesday at her home, 412 N. Tyler, after a lengthy illness, will be 2 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home. The Rev. T. Arnold Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Arnold was born April 21, 1937, in Lee County, Texas, to Lem Harvey and Ruby Waggoner Byrd. She attended schools in the Odessa, Texas, area and moved to Oklahoma in the early 1960s.

Mrs. Arnold was employed as a waitress at several local establishments over the years. She and Oscar Stanley Arnold were married July 30, 1968, in Enid.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley; a son, Dan Sherman, Enid; her father, Lem Harvey Byrd, and stepmother, Georgia Byrd, Odessa, Texas; and three brothers, Clarence Byrd, California, and Lem Harvey Byrd Jr. and Edward Byrd, both of Odessa, Texas.

Memorials in her name may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Foundation with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
