Services for Mrs. Earl (Mildred) Anderson will be conducted at 10 AM Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church with Dr. William B. Oden and the Rev. Arnold Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Mrs. Anderson, 1518 Vinita, died early Saturday morning in a local hospital following a brief period of ill health.

She began teaching school in North Enid and later taught in the Enid system having taught at Garfield, Harrison, and Jefferson elementary schools.

Born at Coffeyville, Kansas, she moved to Oklahoma as a young girl living in Enid. She was reared here and attended Enid schools., Later attending Phillips University.

The former Mildred Giltner, she married Earl Anderson in Oklahoma City on September 4, 1927, and they established their home in Enid. She had continued to make her home here while her husband owned and operated the A & A Grocery.

Mrs. Anderson was an active member of the First United Methodist Church where she was involved with the women's work of the church. She was a member of chapter DB, PEO and an Altrurian.

Survivors include her husband, Earl of the home; a sister, Ona Mills, Midwest City; two nieces, Jeanne Wilmoth, Santa Barbara, California, and Jeanette Hoehn, Enid; and two nephews, David Giltner, Denver and Merle Phillips, Enid.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Carl.

Those who wish may make contributions in her memory to the Community Speech and Hearing Center in Enid. Henninger – Allen will serve as custodian of the fund.
