Funeral services for Della Ann Alvarez,79, Enid resident, will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 10:00 am in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Billy Benson and Associate Pastor Justin Alvarez, officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Della Ann Alvarez was born on May 22, 1940, the daughter of George Maple Phares and Della Viola Farrell, and passed from this life on July 28, 2019 at her residence. She attended Enid Public Schools. Della married Frank Alvarez on August 19, 1958. To this union four children were born, Cynthia Louise, Timothy Dale, Thomas Duane and Terry Don.

Della was preceded in passing by her parents, Maple and Viola Phares, three brothers, Bert, George and Chet Phares, sister, Mary McNett.

Della is survived by her children, Cynthia (J.D.) Overton of Enid, Timothy (Janice) Alvarez and Thomas ( Carrie) Alvarez of Norman, and Terry Alvarez of Enid; brother, Pete Phares of Enid; 11 grandchildren, Corinne Overton, Lacy Andrew, Jimmy Overton, Kayti Alvarez, Jessica Alvarez, Justin Alvarez, Christina Fuentes, Felix Fuentes, Zachary Reed, Anthony Alvarez and Autiana Alvarez; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donation checks be made payable to either 4RKids Foundation or #PapaTomStrong Benefit Softball Tournament.
