Roy ALLEN

The funeral for Roy F. Allen, 76, 2206 E. Eucalyptus, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Henninger-Allen Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Bill Kious will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Allen died early Friday in a local nursing home. He was born Dec. 6, 1906 to Ray R. and Mary Dunlap Allen. He attended school at Meridian, and moved to Enid in 1918. He and Sadie Coburn were married Sept. 5, 1929, in Enid.

Allen was employed as a catalytic cracker operator with Champlin Petroleum Co. for 43 years, retiring in 1968. He served in the United State Army Air Force as supply technician in Italy during World War II. Allen was a member of the American legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW), and Moose Lodge, all of Enid. He was also a member of Pleasant Vale Community Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ernie L. and Roy Allen Jr., both of Enid, two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Collins, Lynchburg, Va., and Mrs. LeRoy (Donna) Durheim, Enid, one brother, Ralph Allen, Enid; 1? Grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Sadie in. 1981.
